Volleyball playoff breakdown for local teams

Here’s a look at how local volleyball teams are doing in their respective league tournaments and what’s next.

Eastside Catholic lost the Metro League title match Saturday in three games to Seattle Prep: 25-18, 25-19, 25-13.

The Crusaders now enter the Sea-King District 2 tournament, Thursday, Nov. 3, as the Metro’s No. 2 seed. They will face the winner of the KingCo No. 4 and Metro No. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at Sammamish High School.

Five teams will advance from the Sea-King tournament, which concludes Saturday, Nov. 5 at Sammamish High School.

Eastlake started off the KingCo 4A tournament Saturday with a four game loss to Roosevelt: 25-21, 16-25, 25-11, 25-18.

The Wolves play Garfield in a loser-out match at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Roosevelt High School. The winner moves on to face Newport or Bothell at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at Bothell High School.

Skyline lost to Bothell in the opening round of the KingCo 4A tournament Saturday, falling in four games: 25-18, 26-24, 24-26, 25-18.

The Spartans play Issaquah in a loser-out match at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Newport High School. The winner moves on to face Woodinville or Roosevelt at 3 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at Bothell High School.

Issaquah lost its KingCo 4A tournament opener in four games to Newport: 26-24, 11-25, 25-16, 25-21.
