Rivals High released its preseason list of the top 10 teams Washington this morning, placing Skyline as the No. 1 team in the state.
Senior analyst Dallas Jackson featured the Spartans in a story where he quotes head coach Mat Taylor as saying Skyline is going to throw the ball more this year. Certainly an interesting statement after the graduation of the No. 1 rated quarterback in the nation, Jake Heaps, and the inclusion of a sophomore, Max Browne.
Issaquah also made the list at No. 9. Here’s Rivals complete list of top 10 teams in Washington (assuming they meant Kentwood when they said “Covington High”). Although it doesn’t say, I’m assuming they are focusing only on 4A as there are no 3A teams listed:
1. Skyline
2. Bothell
3. Auburn
4.Gonzaga Prep
5. Curtis
6. Ferris
7. Rogers
8. Skyview
9. Issaquah
10. Kentwood
