Kasen Williams trims list of college suitors down to 10

June 17th, 2010 at Thu, 17th, 2010 at 12:03 pm by Kevin Endejan

According to the Sporting News, Skyline’s Kasen Williams — one of the most sought-after wide receivers in the nation headed into his senior season — has cut his list of college choices down to 10.

There are three Pac 10 teams on the list, including Washington, Washington State and California. Other schools making the list include: Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Notre Dame, Florida, Georgia Tech and Oklahoma.

Williams told SN’s Brian McLaughlin that the list might be shortened even more in the near future.

“If I had to narrow down the list again, it would maybe be in the next month or month and a half,” Williams said. “Mentally, yeah, I’d say I’m a bit tired, but I appreciate the fact that everybody wants me to go to their school.”

Williams had 74 catches for 1,209 yards and 20 touchdowns during his junior campaign in 2009. BYU freshman Jake Heaps, the top-rated high school quarterback in the nation by several publications, threw to Williams the last three years. Sophomore Max Browne will take over the quarterback position in 2010.
