This Associated Press, via the Everett Herald, has confirmed what many have suspected in recent weeks.
Former Skyline quarterback Jake Heaps, a freshman at BYU, will share quarterback duties with junior Riley Nelson in the season-opener, Sept. 4 at home against the University of Washington.
It is not confirmed as to whether Heaps or Nelson will start the game. BYU head coach Bronco Mendenhall said the quarterbacks have different styles that will make it difficult for defenses to prepare for the Cougars.
