October 31st, 2011 at Mon, 31st, 2011 at 1:32 pm by Kevin Endejan

Here’s a look at how the four local soccer teams are doing and what’s next for them.

The Eastside Catholic girls (8-5-5) advanced passed Nathan Hale, 2-0, last Thursday, moving them into a semifinal matchup with the Metro’s top seed, Seattle Prep (14-0-2), at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1.

The winner of Tuesday’s game earns a trip to the Metro title game and an automatic state tournament berth. The loser plays the loser of Blanchet-Holy Names at 5 p.m., Thursday. The winner of that game plays the KingCo No. 2 team for on Saturday, Nov. 5 for one final shot at the 3A state tournament.

Eastlake kept its season alive on Saturday with a 1-0 victory over Woodinville.

The Wolves earned their lone goal in the 9th minute off the foot of Marisa Katagiri, while goalkeeper Bryce Kennedy earned the shutout.

Eastlake (6-3-8) faces Redmond (8-6-3) at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Skyline High School in loser-out contest. The winner moves on to face the WesCo No. 3 team on Saturday, Nov. 5 for the final District 1/2 state playoff berth.

Skyline and Issaquah have both locked up 4A state tournament berths. The two teams play each other at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday for the KingCo 4A championship.
